As stated in the last post, it’s been a while since I post anything here. My Tumblr has been receiving most of my attention. In any case I will try to post here at least once a week.

I’ve recently been slammed by a wall of inspiration splashed by the different shades of  the color blue…

The concept of death has also been on my mind… in what way it relates to us. Whether through fear, celebration or glorification.

It’s probably the fact that I had the time to reflect on my uncle’s passing 5 years ago in April.

It could also be the works of  Actress, Madlib and Yves Klein and the next collection I’m working on talking to me.

I know weird.

Oh Nigeria. I made my first visit in 14 yrs in the midst of your toll-gate fiasco and left on the eve of your Occupy moment. It has been a long time and I am glad to have been in the middle of what seems to be positive change within the country.

As Post-Colonial subjects of the British Empire, most Nigerians have social ties with that of the Union Jack.

We tend to adopt customs and aesthetics from those of English blood.

I on the other hand moved to America at 14. My desire to learn the Queen’s English has been replaced by the urge to watch Aaron Rodgers on Sundays.

Yes… I will gladly represent the obnoxious American thoughout my stay in Lagos.
